O Industrial Ethernet Node (IE-NODE) da 4B é uma interface de monitorização remota projetada para fornecer dados do sensor aos PLCs ou outros sistemas de automação e controlo. O IE-NODE opera através de leitura das suas entradas de sensor e enviando dados processados quando solicitados por outro sistema (por exemplo, PLC).
