Encoder-Flex 1024
The Encoder-Flex 1024 is a rotary shaft encoder that monitors slide gate position, shaft position, or shaft speed. Examples include position of rack and pinion gates, valves, distributors, and shaft speed on rotating shafts such as slow moving conveyors, mixers, and dryers.
The Encoder-Flex 1024 uses innovative technology to monitor gate position or shaft speed. The resolution is programmable from 1-1024 pulses per revolution and it consists of 4-20 mA output as well as quadrature pulsed output for directional speed, and a Modbus RTU communications for advanced configuration and diagnostics.
There are two status LEDs for easy identification of operational mode and target detection. The unit is quickly calibrated with the touch of a magnet for shaft speed, angular shaft position, or gate position. The sealed body is constructed from stainless steel.
WDA3 Motion Alignment Sensor
Non-contacting extended range magnetic proximity sensor, not affected by dust or material build up, used to detect moving ferrous material up to 100mm away from the sensor. The WDA sensor can be used on bucket elevators to measure speed and alignment by sensing either the metal elevator buckets, or the ferrous bolts attached to plastic buckets. A more specialized use for the WDA switch is as a broken/slack chain detector on drag chain conveyors, or as a non-contact speed switch for screw conveyors. The sensor is used in conjunction with a PLC or with 4B's Watchdog™ Elite or A400 Elite control units. Two output signals are provided: one signal is a pulse output, representing each bucket detected: the second signal is a continuous output when moving buckets are detected.
P800 Proxswitch
The P800 Proxswitch is an inductive sensor designed to detect shaft speed, shaft position, gate position, or object presence.
P3003 & P3004 - 30mm Inductive Sensor
Detects the presence or absence of materials. Is used for monitoring the speed of machinery via a speed module or PLC.
P1003 and P1004 - 18mm Inductive Sensor
Detects the presence or absence of materials. Is used for monitoring the speed of machinery via a speed module or PLC.
M1003 Stopswitch
The M1003 Stopswitch is a simple inductive shaft speed monitoring device. The self-contained unit, which signals when the shaft has stopped rotating. It can be used for process control, motion detection and stopped shaft indication. An inductive sensing device located in the nose of the M100 enclosure will detect a metal target. This target can be an existing bolt head or device attached to a shaft. The M1003 Stopswitch requires no calibration and provides an output when the shaft has stopped rotating.
M3003, M3008 & M3007 Slipswitch
The M300 Slipswitch is an easy-to-use inductive proximity shaft speed monitoring device with an adjustable 0 - 30 second start-up delay, all housed in a 30 mm diameter moulded body. The self-contained unit has a single set point, which signals when the shaft speed has dropped by 20% of normal running speed. It is used for detecting dangerous slow down and underspeed conditions on conveyors, bucket elevators, air locks, mixers, fans, grinders and many other machines.
No connection is necessary between the sensor and the equipment being monitored. The proximity sensor detects a stud or bolt mounted on a shaft, or other suitable target. Ideally, the target should be of ferrous metal, but non-ferrous metal will be detected at a shorter range. Maximum range of ferrous targets is 8 mm (5/16”) and for non-ferrous targets is 5 mm (6/16”), assuming a 20 mm (3/4”) diameter target. Smaller targets may be used but operating distances will be reduced.
M800 Speed Switch
The M800 Elite Speed Switch is designed to detect belt slip, belt underspeed, stop motion, low speed or zero speed on bucket elevators, conveyors, airlocks, mixers, fans, grinders and many other rotating machines. Totally sealed and simple to calibrate, the M800 Elite works in the harshest of conditions.
An inductive sensing device located in the nose of the M800 Elite enclosure will detect a metal target. This target can be an existing bolt head or device attached to a shaft. During installation the M800 Elite is set to the normal machine shaft RPM by calibrating with the magnet provided. The internal microprocessor sets the alarm and shutdown relays.
